Opinions, information please. A friend is thinking of buying a used one. Told him a wealth of information was available from the brain trust on this forum, and I would ask for the members help.

They shoot flat. Earlier 90Ts had big bore. Over 750.

My HPAR Wil shoot from 50/50 to 100%. Unlike the gun but don't shoot it well so have decided to sell it.

Built like a tank --Try taking your twenty five year old car to your dealer and have it fixed ?- Kolar did it for me --And their name isn't even on the gun --True pride in what they make!

Have owned 2 , they both shot well. I had problems with them opening after the shot. I sold one of them for that problem, liked the other so good I sent it to Kolar to have it fixed. They told me it was a design problem, but they still charged me for the service. I was ok with that. I shot the gun for about a year, same problem. I called Kolar told them and they wanted to charge me again, sold the gun. I don't think too much of Kolar service.

I am pleased you received good service. I think the 90T is a great shotgun. I just had the one problem with both the shotguns. I will say both of them had great barrels on them and would inkball targets. I hear a lot of good things about Kolar service, I just wasn't impressed with my experience. Kolar has to be a good company, there are too many of their guns out there that perform well.

My experience with Kolar customer service has been great. I’m sure every experience or issue is unique so your mileage may differ but all in all they have been almost as good as Caesar Guerini service but nobody is as good as them. They are the top guys on the block in customer service.

They are a very solid built gun. Great barrels with .740-.745 bores and most were tight choked .037 to .040. There was a heavy barrel option of which I have seen a few. Seitz style porting was the factory option. There were a couple of updates for them, but if they were not done yet they more than likely won't need them. One was, the bolt was cut at 10 degrees on the earlier guns which after the top lever spring became weak they opened on firing, or the top lever would move but not open the breech. The update changed them to 8 degrees. Kolar has one of the best customer service departments in the industry, IMO. I am thinking the above situation may have been to have new springs put in as a remedy instead of the bolt rework, thus the problem returned when the top lever spring weakened again. The springs usually last longer than a year.

The HPAR's shoot surprisingly low for the look. Comb and rib down will be getting 50/50. Raising the comb all the way up and you may get over 80/20 before running out of post, depending on cheek structure.

Low ribs shot pretty high in my experience with the standard comb height.

I shot several back in the 90s before I quit shooting. Really liked them. Great patterning and point of impact and they just felt good to shoulder. Would truly love to get one eventually.

I had both the 90T and a BT99, both built like tanks, liked the 90T better, traded it in on a real Kolar.
I took the trigger group out of my 90T only to have it fall into many parts (broken C clips) sent the parts to Kolar and had them back in less than a week with some brand new parts, cost plus shipping was less than $50, great company to work with.

Any HPAR that I have shoot was a 60/40 with a Ting Sound as in a D sharp with a loose Rib.

My 90T low rib does not make noise and shoots a 80/20 with the comb down.

Even after adding choke tubes, there will be plenty of barrel or steel left. Noticeably more metal on the barrel end of the chokes.

The less heavy barrels are very heavy. That was a complaint.

Mine weighs in right at 11 lbs. even, with recoil reducer. Shooting 1oz. loads takes the recoil down considerably.

that doug braker in Minnesota . if he is still in business they used to refer to him as mr. 90t I think he worked for kolar before he went out on his own. it coming open when you shoot is the spring on the locking block needing replaced.

Doug Braker had some ribs made special for the 90-T with 2 higher than the original. I bought the higher impact rib and liked it.
