I was fortunate to have been near this meeting of the minds on the midway at the Cardinal Center, Cardinal Classic shoot. Dave Berlet, Brad Dysinger, Dan Bonillas and owner of Champion Shooter Supply are standing. Oleolliedawg, sitting, can't believe I am getting such an iconic picture.

We were standing between the Perazzi and Champion Shooter Supply storefronts.

Great photobomb by the Dawg. BTW congrats to Little Dawg, tied for SJ in yesterday's hdcp. Good shooting.

Vandalia, live birds, guns, Sparta, great payoffs, trinket shooters, shooters no longer and others long gone. We about covered a few subjects.

I enjoyed the visit with everyone at the Cardinal last week. I don't miss trap shooting at all but I do miss the old days and all the fun we had. Dawg it's a shame your boy won't get to see the things we did. Shooters today will never be able to experience the live bird shoots, or 4500 entrees in the GAH, Reno, Vegas, or Vandalia. I feel sad for them but am glad I got to experience it.

The atmosphere at the Cardinal for an ATA shoot has the feel of a rest home, everyone just waiting to die. I didn't FEEL any excitement. I think I noticed this because the last two years I spent a lot of time at the Cardinal during the SCTP shoot and those kids and parents were all seeming to have a lot of fun. The atmosphere was quit different. Fun of trap shooting left the ATA for me about 2000. Brad
