1968 gun. Right in the middle
Did you check the metal where it mates to the wood?
How about the recoil pad screws?

    This a 1967 gun.

then what does that S8 in the serial number mean?
And again, did you check the recoil pad screws?

    How about this?

For any potential buyers, the seller did send me his information.
If you are interested you should PM him with any questions about why,
    He said it was a 1967 gun with a 1968 serial #
He says a it’s a Trap gun but it has 26” barrels
It isn’t choked as a Trap model
    And If,
He knows what years were the salt years
Did he check the metal for signs of it
Did he remove the recoil pad and check the screws

    And for the seller
You should post the answers to those questions for everyone to see

This as no Salt and all have being checked..So no issues with the gun at all.

One issue for me at least

    It’s a TRAP model made in 1967 with a 1968 serial number?
And it has 26” barrels and neither of them is choked FULL?

Please tell all of us know why this “Trap” model has 26” barrels and chokes are open

This gun is not a trap gun. The S8 at the end of the serial number surely makes it a 1968 model. I would like to see better pictures of where the receiver meets the wood to determine if there is any kind of salt corrosion taking place and a little clearer picture of the monoblock to see what the choke markings are.

if you look closely, you can see the choke marks in the pic of the bbls broke open left side. to me it looks like **S on both, which would make sense for a 26" bbl.
highwayf'.....did you get this gun in on a trade or did you own it for some time?

Now that it’s correctly listed as a gun we all knew it was, please tell us how this 1968 gun was “checked” for salt damage.
