Need mint condition Alfermann 270. 34” ported barrel, two Ext Briley thin wall chokes (F and M). 100% POI, upgraded English Walnut with a GraCoil LOP adjustable pad. The shortest LOP is 14” and adjustable up to 15”. Alfermann case. Recently tuned by Gary Alfermann (Jan 2025) and has not been shot much (1-2 box at the most) since then. There is a small dent at the end of pistol grip (see photo). Pull trigger and release parts included. Ask $6000 shipped to CONUSA.
Who done the porting? what is bore size, choke constriction of the tubes? Any thing else done to the barrel? Right hand stock?
According to Gary Alfermann, it is 0.738 bore. Not sure who did the porting, see photos below. Maybe someone knows? The choke is Full and Modified.
Any chance this was reribbed at some point? Interested but the rib doesn’t look like it has the slop the other 100% Alfermanns ive seen had
So, you do not know the bore size. The 738 You got from Gary is the way it was built originally. Did you buy the gun new? Would like to know if someone has changed the barrel since it was built. You do not know the constriction of the chokes? I have had numerous chokes from Briley that are mismarked. Can you get more pictures of the barrel. front, back and side. From the picture you have posted the rib does not look original. You did not answer the left or right hand stock. Thanks
1) Right handed stock. I have a left handed stock-lock that came with the gun for extra $750. PM me for photos 2) see photos on info from Gary about original build. 3) I did not buy this new, but from a member here. 4) It is not impossible somebody would massage the barrel, but to me, it is unlikely. See photos below 5) there is no problem with stock other than some impressions/dents at the end of pistol grip, possibly from a bump somewhere or by someone’s ring on the finger(s). I am speculating since it was there when I got it Any more interrogatory questions?
Any chance you could measure the rib high at the highest point at the chamber end and then again at the muzzle?
The highest point is 5/8" and the muzzle end is 1/2" from the top of the rib to the top of the barrel. But if you want to use these to calculate the rib angle or POI, you probably would need to measure rib to the "center of the barrel" since I assume that barrel wall thickness is not uniform: The measures to the bottom of the barrel are 1 3/4" for the highest point of the rib and 1 3/8" for the muzzle end. If my math is correct, then for your POI calculation: a) the highest point to the center the barrel is ( 5/8 + 1 3/4) / 2 = 1 3/16" b) the muzzle end to the center of the barrel is (1/2 + 1 3/8) / 2 = 15/16" See photos below, the measures may seems off from the values above because there is an angle when taking the photo.
I got additional questions from others. Here is the measures using a caliper - it should be more precise than previous eye-balling the tape. 1) chamber end highest rib point: 0.6959 (top of barrel) and 1.7163 (bottom of barrel) 2) Muzzle end rib:0.4995 (top of barrel) and 1.3224 (bottom of the barrel).
