I do not see RJ listed on the website as hosting the tournaments at the Cardinal Center? Who will be covering it?

Heard a rumor @ MSC that SOS is taking over the CSC. Not sure how to verify.

Big mistake just like RJS was for many years. They should have gone with SHOOTPRO. It ia a very shooter friendly and you can do everything with your cell phone. You do not have to pay a "privilege" fee to get all the great features that SHOOTPRO offers.

If you check the SOS website the shooter is required to pay an annual fee of $60 to use the "nice" features available on their cell phone or laptop. Yep, so are you going to pay $60 ANNUALLY to use SOS features? WOW, just think, I was going to attend the Ohio State shoot. Now I got to pay $60 to get nice data on my phone. Nothing better than having to pay a privilege fee to shoot at the CC. I do not consider that shooter friendly!!!! BTW, everything is free if they would have chosen SHOOTPRO!!!!!!!!! BIG mistake by the CC.

I have no experience on the shoot management side with ShootPro, but their public pricing on their website charges the clubs $3/shooter/day to access all of their features (or $1.75 per 200 bird event, without calculating trophy winners or payouts).

In my opinion, a $60 optional charge is a lot better than a $3 increase in targets or daily costs. Clubs are charged $0 to use the SOS system, with all of their funding coming from premium memberships or pre-squadding fees.

I used SOS for a shoot and it worked great from the club side, and they were used at the Dixie Grand with no complaints. I have used ShootPro at Middletown with no complaints. They are both fine software, and hopefully the CC benefits from a newer system!

The $60 allows you to presquad and all that extra stuff. You can pull up the scores for free on your phone as well as long as you’re classified at the shoot. And I’m sure the CC will have their screens on with the SOS program with scores. The access will be the same as RJ nothing will change other than the appearance. No extra fees unless chosen.

You can presquad without a premium subscription by paying $2 a post. I believe that is the same price as RJ Stuart. You can also 'build squads' and auto fill into shoots without having to find and type in ATA numbers every time

Make sure you understand that i in no way am down playing SOS. it is good software. The problem I see is the $60. If a shooter will be attending one shoot a year that the club will be using SOS, the $60 fee is a lot of money to get the features free. Yep, if you are going to be at numerous clubs over the season that use SOS the fee is reasonable.

You are correct. I did not buy my premium membership when I went to the Dixie Grand because, at that time, only smaller clubs (like ours) were using SOS, and I didn't see the benefit. Now that the Cardinal is using it, the premium will be a cost saver over presquadding. Cardinal had 55 registered trap events last year, so $110 in traditional presquad fees if someone shot every event.

Shootpro is a great system! Im told SOS is also very good. I am ok with the $60 premium fee, I spend that much on pre-squading just at the CC each year.
The big thing for me is that its an IMPROVEMENT! Looking foward to see what else the new management has to offer in 2026.

Anything would be an improvement since Jack died. It is a disgrace to let such a nice place go down hill. Getting rid of RJS is a very good start

Hey BIG PAPA. Looks like SOS has signed with Michigan also. Between Michigan and the CC the $60 fee should be a good deal for you. Hope you are getting your strength back!!! Looking foward to seeing you in Florida.

    Hey BIG PAPA

Not all of us have $60 more to spend on the sport. RJ needed to go long ago. Dinging the blue collar shooters more money isn't the answer. BOL in Florida.

SOS is free. Unless you choose to be a premium member for $60. No different than choosing to play the options at a shoot,or not.

    What are "Premium Services"?

Supposedly RJ made more money not having blind draw for banks. I am told SOS doesn't want blind draw for banks. Same reason? Please confirm.

Seems like common sense for a scoring service that provides presquadding... other than time what’s the point in presquadding if you don’t know where you’re going to be??? These services won’t get that extra money if no one presquads. SOS also does Kentucky who does a random draw but they limit their squads so no one has a choice other than to squad or risk not being able to shoot that day.

SOS at the cardinal center is a big upgrade from the dinosaur I wish them and Cardinal nothing but success.
