Why did we make skeet too complicated with different guages?

Skeet is skeet right? The game doesn't change with a 410. It only becomes less of a game and more of a sport. jmho

each ga has its pros and cons.
shooting all 4 events brings out the true master of the game.
i actually wish theyd have a 4 gun doubles event to weed out all those 100 straights in 12ga.
    but itll never happen.
skeet shooters have become penny pinchers and cant even afford or last 250 birds in 12ga at the world and too lazy to shoot 200 birds a day for 2 days at any meet anywhere in the nation.
50 bird events are the new norm.
    lol.

Shooting 4 gauges is one of the best things about shooting skeet. To most of us it’s fun to shoot different guns and gauges. Like has been said before “you can’t have too many guns”.

Skeet shooting with sub gauge tubes is a challenge, and that's what draws shooters to it. Trap has positions that one can back up a few yards and make it more of a challenge. SC is a mix of both, plus, target presentations that can vary greatly and be challenging. Would it not be interesting to see shooters try there favorite venue with a 28 or 410ga ? I think it would. I shot SC today and I noticed 28 and 410 hulls in the pile. My sub gauge gun has 28" barrels but I know I'm still going to give it a try.

All of the records say it does, and by a lot.

I've seen plenty of AAA 12ga shooters over the years that struggled to get out of the low 90s consistantly with the 410, and plenty of shooters who had a great HOA going through the first 3 guns end up no were near the top after the 410 was done.

it all boils down to the shooter KNOWING his gun and what it can do. its like practicing with a dance partner, then going to the ballroom....to perform 4 different style dances.
