Using Euro targets

Anyone using Euro targets,if so,are they any good?

 

Good? I think they are better than White Flyer.

 

They break as good as White Flyer's, BUT their color is way better that White Flyers--their orange really pops

 

What’s the cost per case?

 

+1 on price per case (135) or pallet price.

 

Either, our last WF were $15.70 per case. Buying 24 pallets.

 

We’ve had them at my club for awhile now. We’re trying to move on from them and find a different alternative. Last spring we had our annual ATA shoot and had many shooters tell us that they won’t come back to shoot if we continue to shoot Euros. About the only thing I’ll give to a Euro is better paint. After that a White Flyer is superior

 

Amy of the shooters give a reason for not liking the Euro Target, or just because they broke a bad score so it must be the target. Trap shooters will complain about anything different. We throw WF but not against trying something new.

 

I’ve never knowingly shot a Euro target- what was superior about the WF target and what did the folks at your club complain about the Euros when they said that they wouldn’t come back?

 

WE tried the Euros. The quality and finish of the target left a lot to be desired. The targets had poor paint distribution and we encountered a considerable amount of breakage. We went back to WF.

 

Euro targets check every box as better.

 

Anybody know the cost per case or pallet or truckload?

 

I think Eurotargets are close to 100% capacity. What does that tell you?

 

I just got a quote from Sunset. $16.78 delivered. I have had several stacks stick together. Thursday night, I had 8 bird suspended, in mid air, by holding the top one.

P.S. Brightwing targets were quoted at $15.18 a case delivered.

 

I have a question, are the Euro targets mentioned on this post the same as the Bright Wing Euro target made at the old Federal target plant in Richmond, Indiana? I have very limited experience with the Bright Wing, but the few that we shot at our club flew well, broke well, and were painted well. I don't believe that I have ever shot any of the imported Euro targets. I believe that there are 24 skids on a semi load and at a savings of .02 per target it would be around $3000.00 per truck load if my math is correct that would be a good savings. Personally I hope that they prove out to be a good target and are very competitive to the White Flyer as of now they really don't have any competition and competition may make the bottom line a little better for all of us shooters. As of now our target shooting sports seem to be getting more expensive all the times. Just my thoughts!

The Brightwing and Euro are 2 different brands.

Brightwing Targets are manufactured in Richmond IN in what was the old Federal/Champion plant. New composition and paint .They are manufactured with Pitch
The Clay Target Company who owns the Richmond facility is also the exclusive distributor of the Eurotarget Brand which are made of resin and not pitch ( Eco Target )

For me, I don’t care what logo is stamped on it as long as it flies true, breaks clean, and doesn’t jack the cost of a round up any higher.

 

Any comments on the Brightwing targets?We are open to anything to keep our cost down.Right now our area is stuck with WF targets and the quality has seriously gone in the crapper,we are experiencing about 10% breakage with Blackout and heard they could eliminate them and then back to pitch with a $1.50 per box increase.

Just a note about the missing white elephant. There is only one target advertiser invested in this forum. There was another. I know ad space is not cheap here. A site that has 90,000 visitors is a big ticket. Someone wants your business.

 

We threw Euro's at our club, wont be going back. We found some targets that looked like the mold wasn't filled as the rim thickness on some went from thin to thicker on the same target.

 

It would help White Flyer if they put some paint on their targets.

 

Well- I shot my first Euro targets on a sporting clays course last weekend…not a great experience. I’ve never seen so many broken targets in my life. I won’t say it was the Euro targets fault, but no one seemed to be thrilled with them at that shoot.

On a side note- their orange is definitely are brighter than White Flyer orange.
