Shot curtains going up soon at Cardinal Center

Just confirmed - shot curtains are going up at the Cardinal Center. The curtains will be going up from end to end.

Old news. The shot curtain will have trees printed on it with black holes in front of banks 5 & 6.

There're going to use Geo cloth for the curtain. Can not comfirm this, but I heard that they should get about $ 3 million in existing lead.
Also it will block the site of a mega sporting complex that Mr Fishburn will have on about 250 acres in front of the trap line. This will b e contingment on one main issue that Mr Fishburn must have. No need for me to say what it is.

 

I guess the next thing will be four or five more international pits for the world championships to be in the USA. Brad

That's not out of the realm of reason for CC.

 

They are putting in soccer fields downrange? What is meant by a "mega sports complex?"

 

Indooir sports arena, basketball and such.

 

Wonder if this will lower the price of reclaimed shot?

When I notice a background that I might not like I am reminded of something an old friend of mine used to say. He always said, "Son, shoot the target, not the background." That always seemed to ground me and make me look harder and concentrate harder on the target only.

 

The curtains might bring me back next year.

 

Well Butch, I see you must be with the in crowd at PSSA and never have to shoot on banks 5,6,7,10,11 or 12. Not all of us are so special. I'd say the worst banks at Cardinal Center-5 and 6 are better than any of those!

 

Hey Mr. dawg, The incrowd that I was with died 25 years ago. I pre-squaded for PA this year & got Bank 8 for every event except Bank 3 for the last event. I did win the doubles in 1991 or 1992 with a 100 on Bank 11 (we shot all four traps then). I actually like 11 & 12 in the afternoon.

 

Butch Jack told me in person that if he can scrape up the half mil that it will cost for the screens it will be a go. He seemed pretty committed to the idea to me. Brad

I DO NOT see spending $500,000 on shot curtains, unless it saves the lead for resale to Recoup the expense in a short time, I think Jack is more informed on the subject
