Not sure how to interpret this. E. D. Gipson talking about a need for funds from the Potterfields.

This could level the playing field with other national youth shooting tournaments, particularly the SCTP championship.

    I report you decide.

The ATA and Sparta (Gibson) had the SCTP for years and lost them to the Cardinal Center. Why in the hell will this new, fabulous, direction be any different? Stupid people and Shittiy location TRUMPS good intentions every-time. Never expect the proven incompetent suddenly to become competent. Brad

What happened to the "Partnership"??? The "Win-Win-Win"???

    PRESS RELEASE-2015-ATA & SCTP Partnership.jpg

    ATA & SCTP Agreement Summary.jpg

I hope the ATA isn't upset with the SCTP leaving the World Shooting & Recreational Complex. Surely they understand that the rug was pulled from under their feet when the IDNR would not honor the written agreement, leaving the SSSF scrambling to find a shooting facility to hold their upcoming SCTP National Championships. We all know that the Cardinal Center opened their arms and rushed to install facilities for the SCTP's other shooting sports.

The "Economic Impact" . . . . a huge loss of revenue to the State of Illinois.

A proposed merger back in 2013 was opposed by Mr. Gipson. Speaking as a past SCTP State Director, I know it to be a wonderful program for young shooters.

The SCTP does not need the ATA as much as the ATA needs the SCTP, its obvious that promotion is not big on the list of things to do for and with in the bounds of the ATA ... The State of Illinois shut out the SCTP by cancelling the scheduled shoots and the SCTP had enough common sense to make a move and move on to preserve their organization, on ward to the Cardinal Center .... Give credit where credit is due, they did what they had to do, not what they probably wanted to do ... That was then, this is now and the State is not done yet, mark my words ... WPT ... (YAC ) ...

HistoryBuff once again this year at the SCTP nationals I will be lobbying Tom to end the SCTP requirement of the kids having to be ATA members. The targets for doubles and handicap are not registered, what good is it to them for their singles to be? What do they get for their daily fees? Good posts by the way, once again those dirty facts get in the way of ATA's official fake news. Brad

When I first got involved with SCTP, the singles targets were registered with the ATA. The targets were only registered for 1 or 2 years after I started coaching. The SCTP did not have handicap and doubles events.
There was no AIM program. It started in 2007 I believe.

The SCTP started handicap and doubles events in 2013 as a fill in event with no awards. 2014 they became awarded events.
I wish the handicap and doubles targets were registered as it adds to target count for the kids to avoid penalty class at the AIM Nationals.

I'm pretty certain you have some lobbying competition. I believe Mr. Tom W. is still a member of the WSRC Steering Committee so he's likely being lobbied throughout the year.

Must I remind you that WSRC representatives are even willing to travel to Ohio to lobby their cause?

I believe the program for membership started in fall of 2008 and AIM National Championships were first held in 2009. I happen to know AIM member #1 who was the first Pre-Sub National Champ.

The first indication, it seems, of AIM as the name was in the November 2008 EC meeting, prior to this it was discussions of a Youth Program.
