I have an old 32" model 12 where would I send it to get the best reblue and have a ventilated rib put on it ? Also would like a new stock with an adjustable comb.this gun must be made of very hard steel because the glueing is almost completely worn off ! does anyone know approximately how much this would all cost ? Thanks for any help !

More than the gun is worth.

Building your own gun can be expensive and priceless.

Do you plan on using it or will it just be another safe queen? If it's for your use go for it, if your trying to build a masterpiece, not worth it!

Best Price for Model 12 Wood I have found was High Plains Gun Stocks 402-560-2567, they have different grades, including Checkering, recoil pads installed,
Inletted, Unfinished, and finished, They only make wood for Thompson Contenders, and Model 12s, Go to their website and look at wood and options.
High Plains Gunstocks, 2nd option is Wenigs 660-547-3334

If you were going to do a rebuild for your own personal pleasure I would say go for it, I have ventured down this road more than once and its not a good investment if you are only interested in selling the gun after your done ... I have a Model 12 that is as Brand New as they come, never been shot after being totally re done ... I have $1,200.00 invested in the gun , has a roll over stock that does not have a mark on it, completely reblued in Hot Blue (looks Black ) and is Nickle steel I can't break even on the gun , though I have not really put much effort into selling it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
