I'm on a role here . . . . uploading is slow but I'll try some pistol, skeet & sporting clays until I fall asleep at the computer.

Being a HistoryBuff and never wasting an opportunity to share some history, I took some vintage target throwers out in hopes to display them in the OSTAHOF museum. They graciously gave me a good spot. Some of these traps are rare and few will ever see in in their lifetime. The kids liked them. The adults seemed to like them too.

 

This was the first picture I took and attempted to post first. I'll close for this evening sharing it with you. God I love 'Ol Glory!

First time I ever saw the Crazy Quail arrangement of traps. It spit targets out fast and in all directions.

At the museum . . . is that an 1882 Ligowsky trap?



Wow, an 1808 Hindmarsh composition ball trap. Assembled its about 16 feet long. And an 1890 W. T. Hill sparrow trap in the background.

Brad Dysinger was talking with Larry Potterfield of Midway USA before lunch. No telling what the topic was

Absolutely fanazztaztic , great pictures, and what a great crowd ... I see that Glock guy just don't take the hint (oopps, that was the other place ) ... Looks like everyone is having a great time ... Another page in your History Book Kenny Ray ... You the man ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

WOW .....Talk about a crowd. Gives me hope.

When you mentioned you were "Thinking" about going out there to see the kids, I was thinking about the What If's...

What if HB took that super rare Hindmarsh trap, or his Ligowsky trap with him ???

How minds work in one direction...So glad you got out there.

Last time we were together was with old friend Doc Parsons at the CC...Still remember that wonderful trip and the memories.

Thanks for the great photos and for displaying the trap machines. Sharon and I spent the day there last Saturday and had blast watching the kids shoot and talking to them when they were between events. All the kids we talked to were just so happy to be there and to be shooting. It was really one of the best days we have ever spent at the Cardinal (and that is saying something!). Watching the young ones shoot reminds us all of just why we started shooting in the first place, just for the love of shooting. I hope the last couple of days brings them great weather and big scores!

Thank you everyone for the kinds words. I've been a big supporter of youth shooting and I feel reinvigorated just watching them compete in all the shooting sports.

I wanted to mention that the museum had a target display and thanks to a well-known poster, visitors were able to see the Ligowsky #3 clay pigeon.

 

Thanks for the pictures History Buff. I don't feel so bad not getting there to take some myself. Looking forward to more.
