I was told the barrel rest on my gun which is attached with an adhesive strip is illegal for registered shooting. Is this true?

I see them in use by shooters everytime I shoot registered.

A Club that shoots "registered" could not allow them. Each Club can make "safety" rules that are not in the "ATA" rule book.

If they are not legal for registered shoots there are a lot of people breaking the rules being as I see them all the time ... Then there is the magnetic barrel rest that people carry around with them and from post to post ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The barrel rest as shown above on a break open gun should not be a safety problem but, the same barrel rest on a semi-automatic could present a safety problem if the action is closed. Not all people are safety conscious. Just my opinion, some people may differ.
