I will be at the OSTA ATA State Trapshooting Tournament this week. The vendors I spoke with said the sales were good. I have seen the attendance yet for the SCTP event.

I will be there later in the week for the OSTA Championship taking pictures.

    Will post

HA, I read the title really quick and thought BRISKET sales were up. Need new readers.
Though, that might not be a bad idea to add that to the menu.

Yeah, brisk sales on caps, shell boxes, and blinders, or brisk sales on Kolars and Perazzis?

AJ's and Sportsman's Den have ammo at competitive prices....and it's moving. No gunsmiths. No clue on gun sales. Weather was rough today but crowd was still pretty good. Everyone was enjoying just getting out and shooting.

We’re there as many vendors selling at your club?

my question is to determine whats happening in the market place.
were their brisk sales due to bargains, or brisk sales due to panic buying/hoarding, from those who were willing to pay inflated prices just to get stuff?
    dfw answered pretty well.....competitive.
thanks dfw-paul, for your mature answer.

What do you guys consider inflated prices today? $50 flats of shells are gone and I doubt will ever return again- I think the $75-85 range for promo shells is the new deal, premium shells anything around $100 is a deal…sadly.

Brisket does sound good right about now…

was hoping to hear if the market is coming down overall, instead of sticking to the new norm. vendors must make profit or they wouldn't be in business. granted.
but if wholesale is coming down, they can come down on their bottom dollar too.
was just listening to hear for a change.
new norms can change. its called the power of the consumer. consumers are suppose to control the market, not the industry.
sad state of affairs in the world and usa for sure.
we let them, because we cant control our own desires.
    shoot well. shoot wisely.

if I ate brisket now, my heart would say your shooting days are over.

Shot was down about $4-$5 a bag compared to what it was a year ago, primers are coming down from their high water mark, winchester primers were even available. Shells were also readily available and at the best price I’ve seen in a few years.

prices are still high but things seem to be easier to get and slowly dropping in price.

I won't divulge how great ammo, powder, primers and gun sales were at the PA State Shoot last week. A record week for us. Let's hope OH vendors do as well too. Tons of cheap shells sold at $85/case.
