Just got another email from a shooting buddy. A copy of a post that has to with this site and what we post.

Looks like this guy had the AT watch huh?

"It's hard for me to grasp how a hand full of old non shooters can hang on to their hate & bitterness. The few posters who actually have a pulse & are not just a figment of Joe's imagination never discuss anything except how bad the ATA & Sparta is.

One of the most bitter clowns uses the screen name flyersarebest. He lurks on this forum with the screen name AJ100 & acts as Joe's messenger boy.

You just have to feel sorry for them because hate & bitterness will just eat you up from the inside out. When they could be out shooting like us they set at their keyboards trying to keep Mcpeeks little playpen alive.....sorry little group!"

I am posting this because this guy who is still hunting for a means to get his IQ above 44 mentioned my name.

If you still have the watch run back and post this.

I am not bitter and I don't "hate" the ata. One would have to care about something to "hate" it. That's the reason I don't hate you. You are a non-entity. You ARE comic relief but that's about it. When you search you will find my post that pretty much sums up why I write here. Your post above proves it.

I hope you and your buds get to shoot ata targets for the rest of your lives. I hope it cost you $500 per year in dues and the ata has to spend every penny of it to keep that place in IL. going. Someday the Martins will be gone and you all will have to pony up more money.

You will more than likely have to quit due to not having the means to pay but at least you can tell everyone that you were a "registered" trap shooter. It really is a shame since the target angles and yardage reductions were implemented so guys like you, that couldn't shoot well enough to compete, would stick around and support the ata.

I hope someday you might even get 2,100 shooters to shoot the GAH event.
So you see, I'm not bitter or a hater.

Your rant I copied would however suggest that YOU on the other hand do have a problem.
I hope my future post on this great site do nothing to diminish that.

Oh, one more thing. As far as you and your pals out shooting while WE sit at our keyboards?
I shot more targets in 5 years that you will shoot in 20 any when you get enough balls to step up to the peg in a ring let me know.
(Like that is ever going to happen)

And put some ice on that nerve I hit, it will help the pain.

If one of you other stooges has the duty now let this guy know I responded.

Flyerarebest, I noticed that you no longer have "but I'm still a trap shooter" on your handle there. I guess you'd be correct in saying the same about me. I really don't miss going to a trap shoot. I go down to the State Shoot for a day to visit old friends but fewer of them are there every year. I go down for the SCTP shoot but missed that last year. Like I told Joe the more you stay away the easier it is.

I get my trap shooting fix today by going to one of the local meat shoots. This last week Moulton had 25 squads on New Years day and on Sunday Continental had 14 squads. No ATA fees, no Martin's money, no EC or delegates. Just cheap shooting, good food, and meat for the winners.

You and I were lucky to come up in the golden age of ATA, and also all the pigeon clubs that were around back then. The 70's and 80;s had to be the modern golden age of bird shooting. Pa. had those little clubs that shot birds every week like I have trap clubs around me now.

So if some never was, never will be, never could be is on the KOOL AID site trashing talking who cares, I don't. Envy is a bitter pill and that is what they have. Hunter 44 will never win a pigeon shoot against all the great bird shooters you and I faced.. The Richard Smiths ect and he will never shoot an event with 5000 contestants in it, and he will never get to shoot off in a Grand American shoot off on the same traps the Historic greats of Trap Shooting did.

Let's face it we were lucky to come along when we did and these KOOL AID kids just don't no what they missed. It's just to bad that so many of them are so dumb they won't admit it. Have a good 2019 and keep driving those watchers nuts. I'll try and help you out once in awhile. Brad

Thank You Sir. Every once in a while I'll get out the old 35mm pictures I took at the Grand and remember the great times thousands of us had shooting at Vandalia. All you heard at the local clubs come July was, what day are you leaving for Vandalia? You shooting the entire week again? Same here, I can't wait, took a weeks vacation time. Ya think there will be over 4000 on Grand day? Man, I'm pumped and it's still two weeks away. I wish it started tomorrow.

    Now?
Are you going to skip the grand again this year? What?, are you nuts? I wouldn't go there if they paid me. You think I'm driving ten hours? No, I went once, that was enough.

Back then a 97 in caps paid for all the events I shot for the week, all the expenses of the hotel, food, fuel, AND a brand new TM1. The Silverware is in a draw somewhere but the memories never get put away.

Guys like IQ44 will NEVER experience that. The late Roger Smith called it "The Golden Age of Trap Shooting" for a reason. They can act as if they are TRUE Trap shooters shooting in what they think are "great" times but it's just an illusion. Deep down they know it but that's all they have. I just like to remind them and bust their.....

Sadly most of the clubs in PA that shot birds are gone now. The increase to $10.00 per bird before options priced most of the guys out. You are right, those days were the best. You could go to a small shoot with less than a hundred shooters, put down $400, kill them all and walk away with over $2,800. IQ44 and his pals can't even comprehend what Calcutta money was at Malloy's.

Have a great year and best regards

Flyersarebest.way back then the pros shot in there own class, industry class. We did away with that. Now all the Pro's shoot with the amateurs..The amateurs got tired of being taken advantage of.If you give lessons or accept freebies from gun companies you are a pro.Us dummies get smart sooner or later.I am still waiting for some gun company to give me a free gun or some company to give me some cases of free shells. You are 100% right the golden goose is gone. Two hole or 3 hole targets don't matter we all shoot the same program. Two hole targets are easier for everyone,,Now the D class shooter can now break easy 100s..Now no one will be in D class.
Maybe I am right or maybe I don't have a clue..I have been shooting ATA fore more than 50 years
I THINK ALL THE MINIE GRANDS SCREW UP THE SYSTEM.Local gun clubs lost a lot of ata shoters.

Just to see if the duty watch is awake.

I just looked up the name of one of THE most loyal Kool-Aid drinkers and one of the first azzhats to jump on anyone that questions ANYTHING the ata has done to screw things up.

This guy lives close to that place in IL. so I assume that is why he just loves it so much. It also looks like it is ONE of TWO or THREE places he has EVER shot. Has somewhere around 13,650 singles since he started WAY BACK in 2006. 1,300 targets is the MOST IN ONE YEAR? You're kidding me right?

A 22 yarder that has NEVER shot a doubles target. And from his scores it looks like he can't hit crap in caps even though he is on the 22 yrd line. Now there is a guy that knows all about how great Trap shooting used to be. He should definitely have an opion and be able to tell people they don't know what they are talking about.

MAYBE, just MAYBE, he should keep his big mouth shut and just listen to people that DID shoot during the Golden Age of Trap Shooting.

My point for all you ring kissers?

How in the world does this guy think he can say ANYTHING to the people that have 40+ years experience, shot hundreds of thousands of targets, won LARGE sums of money, and have Grand trophies (from when it was a Grand shoot) somewhere in a drawer?

Until I looked this dipshit up I thought he was a long time shooter. Turns out he is just dumb. Who woulda thunk it.
