As it says, which post do you like to start on?
I like starting on post 4 so I can finish on 3.

Post 4, five easy shots to warm up, then get the harder ones out of the way, and finish on 2 and 3.

I hate post 2 but my squad needed a sucker so they delegated me. Actually, it's kinda growing on me and I'm shooting pretty good there. I'd much rather shoot post 3 given the opportunity.

In today's environment it may make more sense to see who I am shooting beside. Got cheap shells that get stuck in the barrel I may change squads.

It really doesn't make any difference to me, except on doubles where I DO NOT want to start on post 3.

I like to start on 4, but it's all really mental. You have to shoot all 5 anyway, so what makes the difference? Some shooters say that post 3 is the easiest, but how make "straight-aways" have been missed there? My opinion.

Post 5 on all three events. If not available I'll take 1.
Easy to find a spot if I'm shooting alone.

Yes! My thinking exactly. You gotta shoot 'em all.....focus on breaking the target! Regards, Ed

I like One because I have seen to many people who are terrible squad leaders.
Kids are the worst. They think they are in a race. Many do not let their squad mates get set.
I have seen them start shooting before the person from five has even got to one.
I have seen adults not give chair shooters enough time to fully get set.
Before someone says I should tell these people how to properly do it, I have with mixed results.
It is just easier to lead by example.

I used to prefer 4 but I lost a leg a few years ago so now I like 1 so I don't have to walk from 5 to 1 in the middle of the round. I also used to like 4 to start doubles but am very happy with 1 since I don't trap or spot shoot the first target.

I like 2, gives me some warm up before 4 and 5 and when I get back to 1 the targets look like I could just reach out and slap them out of the air.
