    pm'd a couple of days ago.

    This is the second "NOS" (new, old stock) or "opened box" Spolar I have seen recently and there was one a few months ago on a different forum.
    Starting to wonder what the cause is;
    1) Buyer's remorse that sets in somewhere between payment and delivery ?
    2) Realization of just HOW MUCH this has cost and what the opportunity costs have been for that much money ?
    (Oops, maybe that is #1 above).
    3) Disappointment once the press is seen "in the flesh" ? - - not the pin up glamor picture seen on the web.
    4) Sales on shells as low as $4.98 ? - - Even less when compounded with things like 20% off everything bought in the store or use of gift coupons bought at a discount.
    5) Realization that there now starts a learning curve and a time commitment ?

    Dunno, just thinking out loud here.
    Maybe some of the reasons I'm looking at used (or NOS) is that AWFUL depreciation that anything/everything suffers as soon as the sale takes place.

    Or maybe the wife sees the credit card bill and goes ballistic.

    Well, yeah and for that much money Ya coudda got a chrono to measure how fast she MOVES on her way to the divorce lawyah.

    Domestic bliss, or its opposite COULD be a factor.

    So, spousal pressure to get it gone regardless of the loss.
