Why was the Silver Dollar Open down 30%.

I don't kno if it was down that much. But I think it was down because it wasn't a Grand event. Was a good shoot anyway!

The Dixie Grand did well at the $$ and this year. So that must help somewhat! But it's an ATA event so it can't be good.

Some were missing because they couldn't write it off on their expense account and get a free winter vacation in Florida! By the $$ not having to pay the ridiculous fee for hosting a satellite grand and giving all the free perks, the bottom line might actually look better.

Sure, blame the airlines. I want to see a graph showing how many people fly there compared to how many drive

FG, thanks for asking about my health. Here's a little story for anyone that has to take those little buggers.

Operation on Wed., home Thursday afternoon. Didn't need the pills yet, drugs from the OR were still working. Didn't take any Friday, and Sat. morning it really hurt so I took two, which I was allowed. Took another one Sat. afternoon and then thought, WTH, I'll take one before I go to bed so I don't "brake the cycle" of relief. I laid down about 11:00 PM.

Around midnight, I think, I woke up with about a 10 LB large mouth bass in bed with me. The colors were just vivid. I threw it on the floor and my wife came into the bedroom and was asking me what was wrong. She was there for about 10 minutes and left. Then both legs started to shake and I couldn't control them for what seemed like 5 minutes. HOLY S&%T, what is this all about?

Well, my wife never came into the room, she was sound asleep on the couch. Were my legs REALLY shaking? And what's up with the fish? (I had been watching the outdoor shows all day)

Google is your friend. The next morning I read how oxycodone can cause hallucinations, delusions, and tremors.

    YA THINK??

Stopped taking them! All good so far. Driving to the casinos. Using the cane to get around.

I was prescribed Oxy instead of hydrocodone and or morphine to control the pain during and after last years events, weird things you see, feel, besides the night mares ... I got away (far away ) from that stuff butt quick ... While I was in the Hospital, I called my wife, the police, the fire dept, and was telling all of them I had no idea where I was but I was pouring blood (ripped out the I V's ) and being held against my will by some weirdo people (my nurse, her helper, security, and the Doctor on duty ) and there were bugs making nests in the registers in the room (HVAC) ... The Police dispatcher told me I was in the ICU at the hospital, nothing registered, but the Police did come into my room and told me I was in a Medical Facility and I was okay, wife was PO'ed because I called her at 2 A M (she thought something happened ) ... I got off of that Oxy but fast, weird stuff , never again ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

That makes the second time I've heard of the IV being pulled out. One of my hunting buds was in for a knee, had to have 4 pints put into him after he though he was is a castle and the knights were trying to get to him.

Oxy may explain how and why the Graph-master and the Kool aide drinkers look at Sparta and the EC with that Rosie outlook they do, they just have a more vivid hallucinations ability than you guys. Not Better Drugs as I have long thought.

Flyer's could you or WPT give us a graph of your nite, or at least a chart. When I had my bypass last year I missed out although my wife said I was talking funny in the Hospital. I thought she meant I said something about shooting ATA again.

Brad, I had a reconstructive liver operation. When my wife can in to the room, I told there was a little brown dog running around in there and I wanted to take it home with me. After some thought about her telling me I was nuts, I noticed a pain pump hooked up to me, I rang for a nurse and had her remove it asap. I do not know were the dog went as I never seen him again. Now that you mention it Roger I saw a dog (little brown one) in my room running around also, I never saw it again after the first time ... That's some dangerous stuff they got at their disposal, I can tell you after a few episodes in Hospitals in the past few years I hope I can stay away from them for awhile ... I'll see if I can find a program to make a graph or chart of some kind but I kind of doubt it would be close to right ... There was a Can Can dancer in my room also, don't know where she went either ... The best one is the Jet parked outside my room with a Chimpanzee as the Pilot and his Co Pilot, that I figured was some body's idea of a cruel joke ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Flyer...I will take the pain meds and the hallucinations. I watched Dances With Wolves the Night Before to get me ready and take my mind off tomorrows surgery.

When I came out I was sure my leg was blown off. I told the damned surgeon it must have been a cannon. Too much pain for a rifle. Doc said it wasn't a cannon. I could still hear the battle in the background. I yelled for dad saying he would tell me the truth. And then I asked for my boots.

Now your above line gave me an idea. If the ata wants to up the attendance, that should be the goal of someone making 186K right?, there just might be something there. What better way to get the "added money" back in the game.

Have the big event sponsored by the company that makes Oxycodone/OxyContin. With the amount of that stuff that is being sold they should be able to cough up a few hundred thousand with no problem.

Hell, even the losers will think they won. EVERYBODY goes home happy.

I can hear the winners interview now,

Well, Mr, John Doe, how does it feel to win almost $175,000.00 as this years winner of the GAH.

Feels great, I never thought I had a chance. I knew if I practiced I might get close but this is just unbelievable. What a day huh? Just awesome, awesome I tell you.

What do you attribute your winning score too?

Well, first I have to thank Tri-Star for building my combo. I never would have been able to compete without their fully adjustable gun. Then I can't forget the shell companies for making all their shells cheaper with the steel bases and less than premium shot. I wouldn't have been able to practice without them.

Also want to give a shout out to my doctor. You wouldn't believe what he told me to ingest a few hours before I shot. He was right though. It works is all I can say. Some shooters might poo-poo the idea but I'm living proof it works.

Last but not least, I can't thank the largest Oxy company in the world enough for making this all possible.

I do want to add that this shooting facility has to be the greatest in the world. To think that we can all come here to Ohio and compete for two weeks, in the middle of May, in this atmosphere, is beyond comprehension.

The only problem, and it really isn't a major one, is all the small brown dogs running around. Heck, if it wasn't for the one on my third trap telling me I was starting to shoot behind some of them, he said he could read the breaks, I might not have broken all 102 targets. You haven't seen him have you? That would be a great interview.

Well, I gotta go now. Time for another pill at the Oxy tent. Here boy, here Brownie. Now where did that little guy get to?

I shot a couple Dixie Grands and the Hall of Fame Shoot. I got pretty lucky on the weather, had a good time and won several trophies. To be honest most years you have to be ready for the cold North wind and wonder why you are even in Florida.

Whatever the reason it doesn't bode well for the game of trapshooting if the event was down 30%.

It wasn't down. This was the 1st year for this shoot. 30% down compaired to Dixie Grand. That was a week long shoot this year's was shorter. Don't know if it's a fair comparison.

You also must remember it was not a Grand event. I do not know if there were AA points at the shoot or not. Anyone chasing AA points would not be there. Roger C.

Shot the Silver Dollar Open. Shooter number down compaired to last year when it was a Grand shot. I fell that northern,s did not want to travel because it was not a Grand. They had added money for the shoot. Had a couple day when wind blew hard and all scores were down. More shooters on weekend then during week.
