I was told I had to make a quick trip to the WSRC to see conditions at the U.S. Open. I took the pictures. They were not sent to me. Have many more. Post later.

When I was there it was rather hot and the water fountains were shut off and filled with dead bugs.

A vendor building had ongoing problems with moldy warped ceiling tiles caused by the AC.

    Cardinal Road looked rather rough.

    I report. You decide.

Never fear, our leader Donald Trump is considering a pardon for former Governor Blajovich currently doing considerable time. He may be out, running again and win just in time to allocate additional funds for repairs.

Pretty sure the water fountains haven’t worked in a few years, heard there was ice cold water by every trap.

Hey MERLO..Have you ever been to the Illinois state shoot..no pavement and when it rains it smells like pig shit ..Ever been to Mason Michigan..the mud hole..or the Wisconsin state shoot before it moved to Rome Wisconsin..Take off your rose color glasses..Sparta is a great place to shoot.Every place has a few flaws.Vandalia is gone for ever just like Sears and Carsons..It time has passed. You cannot dwell on yesterday.Look forward to tomorrow..Nothing in life is perfect..Try to look at the good side..Slow down if there a few bumps in the road ..

They need a sign below those roach catchers telling the visitors to go out to the traps to get water.

    DONT MIND THE BUGS PLEASE

THERE IS NOT SO FRESH WATER OUT BY THE SHOOTING

Do you think the coolers are maintained by the same state that maintains the water system?

The U. S. Open is not a State sponsored shoot. And it may be some have higher expectations than is reasonable. It is an ATA shoot.

I am making no statements as to what party is responsible for maintaining the grounds.
    I report. You decide.

The State of Illinois is in a financial crisis, does not have the money it would take to do minor let alone major repairs to any of the State Parks ... They voted in a tax increase that is chasing residents to move to other states because they cannot afford to pay the increases ... The States involvement with the WSRC has added to the deficit so they are or have with drawn from operations and the State IDNR collects the $3.00 per entry which does not offset the cost of the operation of said facility ... If the ATA and or its sponsors do not cover the expenditures the State would close the facility because they simply cannot afford to waste any more money on it ... Simple Math, no income, all pay outs you cannot stay in business for very long ... The WSRC is on Life Support, its just a matter of time and Poof one day it will be gone ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Yankee, yes I have shot at Mason.Very nice club,Well run ,but when it rains ..I was lucky one year some of my fellow shooters helped push my car out of the mud.Notice I said car ,not a 4 wheel drive truck.
I am not knocking any of these places ,just telling about my experiences.

Better than here sign this and we will fill it in later ... The State has mental midgets that are smarter than anyone on the BOD or EC, ED working on their behalf ... Surprised the State of Illinois does not charge them extra for the bugs ... WPT .... (YAC) ...

It's right there in black and white

STATE WILL MAINTAIN FACILITY TO" MINIMUM OPERATION STANDARDS"

That says everything they are going to do with the place.

Good luck dodging pot holes, or getting leaky roofs repaired.
