The Michigan State Shoot had a "Special Trophy" for Super Seniors. That was a trophy for shooters over age 75.

It was mentioned in the December minutes.

Vice President Hayes discussed the next item of new business. He stated the Michigan State Shoot will provide a trophy for Super Seniors who are age 75 and older.

    I report. You decide.

Fossil Class. LOL. We pick on one of our local shooters for being in that Class.

Kilmon, It's the O.T. H. class. Over the hill class. At many shoots today we are the largest class in attendance.

I call it the comatose class. I are one. Sporting clays has one. State shoot has only 3-4 entries.

Headduck, You are still in the competitive area of SV. I am giving them a 13 year advantage, that is hard to over come.

In Florida, the Sen Vet class may be the toughest of all. Many or most in that class would qualify as 75yrs plus. Not sure what creating a special class for them would accomplish. They already beat most of us.

I agree with Marc, you have to be nuts to declare if you're a senior vet in Fl at the big shoots--its time for a super senior class,

age 76, life member--2 more years & I break even on my membership--such a deal

    Hey,

Lets petition the EC to charge another buck per event, and add a whole lot more categories so we can ALL get something to make us "Feel Good".

My suggestion would be change the vet age to 65-75. Next would be remove sub vet and jr. gold.

No. I would qualify for that class in a very few years and I can hold my own with the millennials......
I remember shooting against a Mr. Snow in San Diego some years ago. He was nearing 100 as I recall and, although he could barely walk, he was as good a trapshooter as anyone else out there. Other than him, I don't want to beat my fellow comatose shooters, I want to win against the best, regardless of age.

It's said by the medical industry that 75 is the new 55. We are physically 20 years younger today than people 100 years ago were. Better nutrition, better health care, less physically demanding occupations, and most of all less stress of just trying to stay alive and feed our families. Maybe, all super senor shooters should be reverted back to "Pre-Veteran" status...LOL:rolleyes:;):)

You guys can change your classes if you like, I turned 78 June 3rd, and I still want to shoot but my left arm w/torn Ligaments is pure hell, I may shoot the Handicap from the Hip.

Shooting from the hip would be something to watch. Just be careful if Stafford shows up. Dan Bonillas was given a real lesson in hip shooting by Ray at one time in a shoot off. Colorado state shoot years ago.
