And what before my eyes, I see a FREE- GUNN Cleaning Kit from the 1970s I bought at the Grand American, and those Frigon Guns I looked at but never bought, But a shooter here at the Club has one, and it keeps breaking down.

I bought a ? Model 530 Automatic that had 2 Allen Screws that held Cho0ke Tubes in the Bbl w/1st Release Trigger and broke a 50 Straight First Time out, Sold to me by Ken Berger.

I also bought a Rottweil Un single w/a release trigger w/adj Rib, and release kept pulling through and I finally sold it.

In the Past I have owned and Shot the Very Best Shotguns.

I feel the Best was a Silver Seitz

Your Silver Seitz sucks compared to this J.C. Higgins bolt action 12 gauge I got. It has a special feature. The magazine tube is sort-of pressed in at the rear and held in position by a clamp farther down the barrel that ideally locks the magazine tube to the barrel. The setup doesn't work very well.

After a few shots, the magazine tube starts to back out which causes the entire barreled receiver to tip down in the stock. It has a screw that comes up from the bottom that is supposed to hold the stock tightly to the receiver, but it doesn't work that well. If I had enough J.B. Weld, red Loctite, time, and interest, I might make a serviceable gun out of it. The action, itself, is pretty strong.

It's one of those guns you look at and say "Oh, I still have that?"

Sheesh....when doc starts a thread with the title "I am sitting here and look down" it has to make the mods nervous. I was sure he was going to tell us again about the lady at the club that made special personal socks.

That Franchi 530 brings back memories.
One showed up at the old Dublin Gun Club back in the mid 70's.
About everyone shot it and did pretty well.
They did swing well but on the downside you needed to keep those choke screws tight or the choke tube went downrange with the shot.

Gerald: That may have been my Franchi at the Old Dublin Gun Club, I was there back then w/my 530, those were the days. I shot there a lot.
