Gander outdoors

Whatever happened to Gander Mtn. / Gander Outdoors? Stores were to open in October but I have not seen any announcements for awhile. Has anybody heard anything?

 

They went belly-up, only 4 stores left up here in MN.

I signed up for newsletters on their website. They say that new stores are in the future but no locations are listed. Are asking for applications from those interested in future employment but doubt they find many without store locations or opening dates.

 

Not sure how they could botch a thriving retail sector. Cabela's is always jammed.

 

1 store to open in Jan in Minn & 1 to open in Feb in Wis. Not much of a big roll out!

 

Went by the Gander outdoor store in Janesville Wisconsin, Sign is up . People putting up shelving . Sign on the door said opening sometime in February Ron

 

The Gander Mountain here in Warrington, Pa was only open for a few weeks. I still had my gun shop (retired in Sept 17). Their prices were high on firearms and ammo. It’s still empty.

 

I think they closed Gander in Reynoldsburg, Ohio

Went to the grand opening in Janesville Wi --Less on the shelf than Gander Mountain had-- Big bike setup and repair in the middle-- Sale on Gun Club ammo $4.99 box -- A A 's for $7.99 - federal target $6.49- Nothing special--Madison Lacrosse and Wausau Wi. to open up in February--' Know one could tell me if the big store in Madison will still have the virtual reality ranges. Which was a great attraction-

 

Indianapolis store had their Grand Opening last Saturday. Haven't been there yet. Will check it out and report.
