Don Cogan that shoot has really gone to hell, I am glad I did not make it.
The biggest shoot only had 300+ entries that was the Hdcp Championship, I did not see one score from Ohio
Had to look for names, they did not enter the State, most Hdcps were long yardage, w/ 99 and 98s
I did see a 100 by a 21 yard shtr. The last Vegas shoot I went to I was talking to Steve and we both said how the big money shoots have dropped off.

The ATA shoots have really mgone to hell, they have 60 traps if memory serves me right 15 banks.

If the ATA went to Linn Creek Mo it may have changed, that's a wild ass guess.

A lot of Vet and SRVET entries, like Roger Coveleski said.

I must admit that I was pretty shocked when I looked at the results.

Many of my friends from the north, especially those from Canada, always looked forward to going to the Missouri Fall Handicap. Other than just a few, I didn't see any that I normally would see on the list.

Anyone know what has happened that this isn't the Big Draw that it used to be ?

It really is a shame to see such a well attended shoot in the past going down hill.

They are going to have to rewrite the attendance rule for AA points pretty soon. None of the shoots will qualify. Roger C.

I contend that when they gave out all the stupid reductions that ended the good money. Now the only thing to win is maybe making a team with over 200 shooters on it. The points shooters don't shoot for the money.

robb, The money shooters still collect the points. I doubt if they mean anything to them, maybe it helps get sponsors.

Sorry Doc, Out of the 25 states that attended the Fall Hdcp in Mo, Ohio came in 9th. Naturally Missouri had the most attending with Illinois and Those Target Killers from Kentucky 3rd. There was alot of shooters that I personally know didnt attend because of the Farming situation this year. Weather was as good as you could ask. Trapshooting is taking a hit everywhere as I see it. My opinion for what its worth.

Sad news folks, when what used too be the biggest attraction starts (grand American) to deteriorate many of the shoots that were once a big draw will soon follow suit because people lose interest ... It is truly amazing the amount of shooters that are turning to sporting to get their fix or just reverting back to recreational trap shooting ... I drove by Ben Avery one morning and stopped just to check it out, the place had a boatload of shooters on traps, skeet fields, and the sporting clay course even ran into a few guys who used to shoot registered religiously and they said they just lost interest ... There is no shortage of shooters from what I could see ... Not sure what it is going to take or if there is anything that can be done to try and entice people to get back involved ... It took many years but the shooters (ATA) finally got a belly full so the clubs and organization itself will pay in the long run ... Sad, truly is sad ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
