    Roger,

    The ATA By-Laws, Article V, states :

"Section 8: Remuneration. With the exception of the Presidential Honorarium, members of the Executive Committee shall serve without compensation, as shall the Board of Directors; however, they may be reimbursed for all actual and necessary traveling expense incurred while traveling on business of this Corporation, at the discretion of the President. Such expenses incurred prior to August 1 of any year shall be reported promptly to the Treasurer for inclusion in his report to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting."

I know of no Delegates who receive paid expenses, with the exception of those who accept positions (additional duties) on the various Committees, such as the Central Handicap Committee, Relocation Committee, etc.

Executive Committee members are granted expenses (Travel, Meals & Incidental Expenses) to attend certain tournaments and other duties most of which are outlined in the Accountable Plan.

    Hope this helps.

HB, I was referring to compensation buried in other expenses on the reports. It would not be the first time the by-laws were not upheld would it? Roger C.

Roger, I have no knowledge of any member of the E. C. or any B.O.D receiving compensation at this time.

For decades, ATA Presidents buried the honorarium shotguns in their expense submissions and were never issued a Form 1099 until about 2006 or 2007.

A few years ago our Delegates voted to officially provide an annual allowance of $16,5000 to the ATA President. However, not one of them considered that compensation in any form was expressly prohibited by our By-Laws. Presidents continued purchase their President's gun even though knowledgeable members advised them of the by-law violation. That is, until the recent amendment legally permitting the "Presidential Honorarium (Gun) Allowance which was again suggested . . . . this time by the Illinois Attorney General's office representative Mr. Pat Esposito.

PAGE 16. SPECIAL PUBLIC RELATIONS. $47,613.00 This item should be itemized. That is a lot of capitol to not be explained. It leaves open the question of what is buried in this amount of expenditure.Roger C.

Does note O, on page 15 surprise anyone. Note O identifies the revenue, expenses and net change for each of the satellite grands in 2016.

It does not include the $13,000.00 to $15,000.00 that the club pays for the right to hold the shoot. The other perks that are bestowed on the EC attendees is also not mentioned. A good through audit by a unaligned auditor is what is needed for the members to feel comfortable with the reports, but we are in a need to know situation.. Roger C.

Roger, note O, shows that 7 of the 10 satellite grands in 2016 had a negative net profit. If I understand your comment correctly, all 10 would have a negative net profit. Is that correct?

Garry, The clubs pay for the right to hold the shoots. That fee is not added to the profit column. The ATA supplies some of the trophies and the clubs supply some. The money shown is the daily fees. An itemized profit and loss statement should be supplied. Profit and loss statements are a sham, you could hide the national debt in them and the average person could not find it. Roger C.
